Home Button not the same after successful battery install...

After installing a battery in my iPhone 3G, my home button takes a bit more pressure to work? Everything works fine- I went and purchased a can of compressed air and re dissembled the cover and tried to clean out the backside of where the button is, but it’s still not as easy to press before I dissembled the first time. I did notice there are contacts where the button on the backside contacts the logic board (I think it’s the logic board)… My question is, should I try cleaning the “points” with a Q tip and distilled water? Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

You could certainly try that- it could also be that the front is just not quite clicked into place the whole way.

Solved!!! That was it, I pressed a bit harder right around the home button and it clicked just a tiny bit- good to go... Thanks for the reply!!!
