No service after auto/manual searching for signal

I cannot get a signal on my iPhone 4s, ios 6.01 baseband 3.0.04.

If I try to manualy sellect carrier, it searches for the available carriers, finds them and when I select one I get no service. Tried calling emergency number without a sim but that failed also, it should have worked. What's broken, where to look first?

Thank you all for reading this.

I would start with the obvious and cheapest, the cellular antenna, make sure its plugged in correctly to your motherboard, if it is then I would replace it, iPhone 4S Cellular Antenna Replacement also has your water damage decals turned pink, (water damage) if so treat it for that, Repairing iPhone Liquid Damage , good luck.

Have you tried to set the date and time manually? If you take out the battery on the iPhone (iOS 6.xx) the date will be 1970.. :p

When you have set the date and time, remove the sim card and put it back in.. This should work :)

(you kan also connect the phone to the WiFi to automatically set date and time. Do the same with the sim card, when the time is right :) )

as long as all the connectors are connected properly.

I would try the Wi-Fi conect first . the date & time should update & give you signal back.

if this helps please mark as accepted

I'm having the same prob no signal and I have replaced the cellular an tenner and mad sure it's connected/plugged in properly. I'm not to sure wot ya mean with this date thing as when I take my battery out and refit it the date and time set correctly ( not to 1970 ) is there any other plug and play parts I should try b4 making the assumption it's a blue inducter coil problem??
