iPhone 4 power Logic Board problem?

I got here an iPhone 4 which only boot with a pre-charged battery.

If the battery runs down, I can charge it, but the charge icon don’t go away and it’s impossible to boot.

I replaced the dockconnector an battery twice, but without result. There are also no marks of waterdamage, the device looks fine inside, except 1 thing is damaged (http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/1862/...)

Could this be the cause of the problem? Someone who has got the same problem?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Strange problem. I don't know if that part could cause problems. If your sure this part is broken you could bridge it. Is your battery connector firmly in place..?

by

Yes, the battery connector looks fine. Ok, I'll try to bridge the contact points of the broken part.

Bridging also doesn't work..

Gauthier Top, the part that you showed on the image is a SMD capacitor 27PF 5% NP0-C0G. I do have to say that bridging components is not always a wise choice, if bridging would always work, the components would not be necessary, and the manufacturers could/ would eliminate those. So, you can try and replace it, if you know how to work with very small components and have the right tools. Otherwise you cold get it repaired by a local electronics shop. Hope this helps, good luck.

I replaced the capacitor, but it didn't solve the problem.
