New screen back light working but no picture old screen working fine

Hi was looking for some help I replaced my screen as old 1 smashed but when I turned it on I only get a dark back light plugged in my old screen an works perfectly would I be right to surmise the new 1 is faulty thanks

Darren, first you should try a hard reset, push and hold home button and power button at the same time till you see the Apple, let it power up and if that doesn't fix it then you bought a bad screen, I hate it when this happens and it's why I will never buy a screen on Amazon or Ebay, they are usually bad, I would get 1 on here, or here is a link, good luck, https://www.gounlock.com/search.php?prod...
