Is a 25watt soldering iron powerful enough for battery replacement?

Hi

I am going to replace the battery on my iPod nano 3rd generation and I was wondering which soldering iron I should use: I have 2 fixed temperature soldering irons a 25watt and a 40w As this will be my first ipod repair I want to make sure I have the right soldering iron :)

Thanks in advance

either one should work if you're careful. I suggest the 25W because if it's too hot you may get a bad solder or accidentally damage other components. Check out the soldering guide ifixit made, it may help www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repairing+Soldered+Connections/750/1

Hope this helps!
