LCD Replacement no display

Hi,

I followed your steps for front screen assembly after I cracked my screen. Before replacing my display was still working. After replacement, my phone still works - lights up and makes relevant noises when messages come in but no display.

I have tried hard resetting and disconnecting battery.

I can see when the phone is on two small pixels, if i was to describe it, it would be the reverse of a dead pixel, they light up but the remainder fo the screen does not.

Thanks

Mart

It sounds like it might not be plugged into the motherboard correctly, or the new screen was bad or there was some damage done installing it, I would start by checking the connections, good luck

I just went through and tested everything was connected properly - and it all seems OK. So it could be one of the last two things you mentioned. Thanks for your response.

Your welcome Mart and if you bought your screen on ebay or amazon that could be your problem, I have bought a lot of bad screens there and will no longer purchase any parts from either of them.

Where do you recommend getting one from Mitch? It was of Amazon :)

Either on here or here is a link, https://www.gounlock.com/details.php?ite... , Amazon is the worst for screens, the only good thing is its easy to return them, good luck and keep me posted.

Did you remove the front totally again? Because if you managed to scratch the display-cables when installing the LCD then it won't work.

Most likely it's a LCD that's not working.
