Spilled water no battery or screen

Hi

Our macbooc Air late 2010 got water on it. Since then, it's battery is like dead and the screen does not light up, although if you look closely with an external light it works, so it is probably the backlight. Everything else works fine (for a few months now), using power and external screen. Here's my question; How likely is it it is the small input board with the magsafe, USB and headphone jack that is faulty? Is there any test I can make that pins down the faulty component more definitely? It appears to me that the battery and the screen has connections to this board, which makes it the most likely candidate, but it could of course be controlled from the logic board?

UPDATE: My mistake, there are no connectors from screen and battery to the magsafe board. These devices are connected to the main logicboard. I wonder if there is one common chip for these two devices?

thanks in advance for all advice

Magnifying glass examination for corrosion, the "shade tree mechanics" approach of replacing suspect components with known good/new ones (can get to be expensive).
