Left shift key + I doesn't work.

i have a 21.5" iMac with the bluetooth keyboard. The left shift key doesn't work with the letter i. it works with every other key. The right side shift does work with i and has no issues. i have replaced the batteries in the keyboard, gone through all the keyboard settings and i have been unable to fix the problem. With the on screen keyboard showing, if i hold the left shift key, the i button does change to uppercase, but its like it stops accepting input. Anyone know how to fix this?

i could be wrong, but i don't believe its a keyboard problem. the i button works and the left shift button works, just not together. that is the only combo that seems to not work. i believe that it must be some software config somewhere that is messing it up. i'm hoping that someone else had the same issue and figured it out. thanks for the post.

Keys and keyboards are very finicky and difficult to repair... I'd either work around it or replace the keyboard.

I had same problem. Left shift key will not work on any letter. I replaced the keyboard. Exactly the same thing still happens?
