Accidentally change the input port from HDMI to DisplayPort...

Only have a HDMI port on computer.

Monitor was factory set VGA.

When the other input ports ( such as VGA or DVI ) have cables plugged in, the monitor will display the signal from these ports. So please unplug all the other input cables. Press input select button to adjust the input port.

For input select not responding: Power on, press menu and hold. Unplug power till monitor goes off, and then plug monitor back in. The input select will now work again. Worked for my ASUS VE278 just now. I had tried 3 different cable styles and still no signal and menu would not come up either. So I found this solution when searching for getting to the service menu.
