Is the external a monitor? If so see if you can test this hook up on another machine to make sure it is working properly. I ask you to do this because your results are not consistent. You should either have no screen on both (GPU issue), or a good external and bad internal. You should not have a bad external and still be able to see the screen.

Dearest MAYER please help me if you can i will apprichiate it more then you realiz.

the external monitor works fine now and works constantly! ! and suddenly the screen is showing signal when i moved it in surtain direction ,when i EVEN A BIT move it the internal lcd will lose signal !!

what can it be ? WHILE THE INTERNAL LCD worked i tested the inverter and tried to change brightness-NO PROBLOM WITH THAT!

might it be the cable of the power to the inverter? and where the inverter cable (not the power cable f it ) connects to the logic board?

i am realy carefull opening it since the macbook late 2008 has bad flat(flex) cable of the top assembl(touchpad and keyboard) so i wouldnt want to open it a lot more

waiting for you advice..........

can it also be the lvds cable tough when i opened it it seemed real fine!it does not sound logic to be an lcd issue! BUT WHIch one?

i suspect the cable

Now that you have confirmed the external monitor (this rules out the GPU), your suspect is the display data cable. It would help to know exactly which machine you have to if it even has an inverter cable. Please give us the last three figures of your serial number.

thank you,the last serial numbers are 0P2 model :a1181 black

From what i ahve understand ihas an inverter and surely has a power cable -"for the inverted| connected to it ..maybe.......

Apple MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.4 13" (Black-08) Specs

Identifiers: Early 2008 - MB404LL/A - MacBook4,1 - A1181 - 2242

I would replace both the inverter and inverter cable. Here's how: MacBook Core 2 Duo Inverter Replacement
