I think my iPhone 3GS battery has had it's day.

Hi,

I think my battery is now broken. I have tried to hard restore my phone but as it is about to finish I get a error 29 message.

My plan is to order a new battery and fit it myself but the only thing is im not sure which battery I need. My current battery is APN 616-0431, Am I correct in thinking that I will need to replace in with another APN 616-0431?

I order Iphone battery's all the time and don't know what their part number is, you need one for a 3gs, some say they work for both 3g and 3gs, good luck.
