Hey I have read answers from other guys on how to reset ps3 .. However when pushing and holding power button and waiting for the beep the light go red and does nothing after that. I hadn't used ps3 for bout a month I only use av plugs.. Now it powers up feeds and ejects games but will switchi itself off after about a minute.. Any ideas or shall I put a shotgun thru it....

turn it off.
disconnect power cable
reconnect
press power on and hold - however long - until it switches off on its own
press power again and hold till 2 beeps.
release power button
should see rocevery screen
if not - update your ps to 4.xx firmware
