yes - since snow leopard was made for the intel mac's - it's fine for your MacBook

Snow leopard also requires 1 GB of RAM and I'm not sure how much the black MacBook has, so make sure you have enough

thats right, better go with 2 gb - pretty nice working os (even on my eee and my vaio p)

btt - the "upgrade" from 512 to 1gb is cheap - i bought 20x512mb ram modules (new ones - mac stuff) for 26€ - so i think, one 512 mb module will be pretty cheap to get.

Hi , Markus. Do i need some special ram memory for mac, or i can any other as well? thank you

you can use So-Dimm 200Pin DDR2 667MHz PC2-5300

you can use up to 3gb (afaik)

but i think 2 gig is enough, i have installed

1,5 gb in a old core duo MacBook - works great
