Proximity sensor? Screen staying active.

Hi there...

I had the screen on my 3GS changed (bc it was dropped and cracked) and since then my screen stays active during phonecalls.... this leads to my ear constantly putting people on hold or hanging up or pressing mute. It's really very annoying.

I've done some reading and figure it's prob the proximity sensor?? How can I test to see if it is that? And then what pieces will I need to replace??

Thanks for the help!

If you paid someone to fix your screen and now your proximity sensor doesn't work I would see if the Tech that did the job would fix it for free, if that isn't an option you would need a new proximity sensor. Here is a guide for the job. iPhone 3GS Proximity Sensor Ribbon Replacement
