Intel e8400 compatible with 2006 mini? (Yonah for wolfdale)

eBay is full of these 3ghz core 2 duos. Anybody know if this will work for a swap from core duo 1.83ghz or any of the e prefixed core 2s?

I dont think the E8400 is the same socket type used for the original CPU.

I believe the iMac mini uses socket M whereas the E8400 is socket 775 (T)
