Is there anyway to replace the headphone ribbon cable?

I accidently damaged my Ipod and it resulted in the headphone ribbon cable snapping at the angle where it bends. There is no damage to the connections at either end and my Ipod works fine when in a dock or connected to my PC. Is there anyway I can get a replacement ribbon cable and fix it myself as I would miss listening to it through the headphones.

Graeme, there really is no way to fix it. This is one of those parts that is easily replaced. The cable is available right here (sorry, just noticed it is out of stock, so you may have to use the other link;-) and places like this. You can find the guide for it right here.
