No Network, Won't Stay On If Not Plugged Up to The Wall.

So i Changed my LCD following an ifixit guide and the results were perfect upon completion, i finished with no errors....

about 2-3 weeks later, i had my phone on the charger, went to sleep, and when i woke up my phone was off.

i turned it on and it worked perfectly, as soon as i unplugged it from the charger it turned off and would not power on until i plugged it back up.

when plugged into the computer, it goes into a reboot loop.

and now all of a sudden, when powered on while on the charger it does not get wifi, nor a cellular signal.

i took the phone apart. cleaned the dock connectors, and all the things suggested in the already answered questions but nothing has worked for this problem that just came out of the blue.

even now when i turn the phone on , it doesnt even know the correct date and time.

any suggestions ?

Answer this question I have this problem too

With the OP description I would start with battery replacement. A lot of reasons to start there. It is one of the few parts in iPhone to wear out. It is most vulnerable part in iPhone. Easy to replace. Among cheapest part in the iPhone. All the features of what is wrong point to battery.

the part about me not getting service even points to the battery ? if so, id take your advice and replace it.

Brandi, follow Brad's advice. Start with the battery and take it from there.

If your phone is Jailbroke I would restore it. Also the wifi and cell antenna connectors can be tricky to get re connected properly, I would recheck them .

as i mentioned in my question, when it is plugged up into the computer it goes into a boot loop. so restoring isn't exactly an option. i have rechecked the connecters, as i also said in my question. i am seeking Other options that i haven't already tried.

Is it Jailbroke ?

by

yes, it is jailbroken.

Sadly I have seen this quite often with Jailbroke Iphones, it usually starts with wifi issues and spreads. Sometimes you can bring them back and sometimes not.

i've never had issues with wifi. or any of these issues. it just came out of nowhere. ive been living JB'd for almost 4-5 years , never had a wifi issue. meanwhile, do you have any other suggestions to help, otherwise... ?

shut the phone off unplugged with usb end in computer....hold home and plug into computer while still holding home...keep holding till it recognizes.....mine has full charge as well.... ive even tried all the reset options....restore on comp wont work i get errors 21,11,1600,1611 tiny hasnt fixed it....my last resort is the dock connector....replacing it might work i hope, ive tried in all 3 diff cables and three diff computers so im sure its not the cable or the computer...and its not the battery which leaves the dock connector....

by

I'm having exact same issue as the original poster and question ... to the letter .. I could have written the question / systems message myself and it would have said the same thing. Therefore, there's a clear common issue here that's popping up for me and others.

I have replaced the battery to no avail.

Any solutions yet?

I have the same problem, the date is set on december 31 1969 and dosent recieve wifi. Some say you need to connect to computer and do a factory reset, which will reset iphone to a brand new phone but will lose everything unless backing up your files. Search on youtube how to do a factory reset with itunes, and try it. It will delete everything, but will resolve the probblem, in order to save your things back them up... HOPE THIS HELPS :)

i had the same exact problem. exactly. cleaned dock and plugged to comp. didn't do any restore or updates and it is working. try cleaning dock and plug in. somehow it fixed mine.

UPDATE: This worked for about a day... now back to the same problems.

UPDATE: It was just the battery. Took it to SoCal iPhone Repair, they replaced the battery and its been working fine for over a week now.
