Whats wrong with my kinect?

SOLUTION: Found out that this is a problem with one of Microsofts updates. If you update your Xbox, it fry's your kinect and you have to send it in for repairs. Although, Microsoft takes no credit for destroying millions of Kinect's. It is their fault. Replace all the internal circuit boards by yourself or send it in.

As soon as the Xbox 360 S turns on, the Kinect solid red light turns on immediately. The microphone occasionally works when using the Netflix app. There is no error message displayed anywhere. In addition, before the red light turns on, the little camera image in the bottom right corner of the screen has fuzzy grey lines through it with no image detectable. When I go to re-calibrate the kinect sensor, the kinect screen is black (no image).

I have moved the kinect to multiple outlets, unplugged and secured all cords, and attempted to update the kinect (the kinect is up to date) -- Problem still there.

I am out of warranty, it will be $100 to replace with new kinect, probably $100 (including shipping) for Microsoft to repair it. So, I am down to fix it myself. But I do not know what part needs to be replaced... The camera? A circuit board?

Also, the kinect has not been dropped or violated in any way. It just stopped working about a month or two ago.
