Why is iPhone 4s part charging even after replacement

Hi,

I spilt a drink on my 4S last week, but after checking the water sensors, only the headphone jack is pink.

However, the battery was only charging up to 32%ish so i decided to buy and replace this.

After fitting the new battery, i managed ot do a full charge and all was well, but now after the battery ran down to 10% i decided to recharge, and i am now facing the same issue as before, where it stops charging at 38% now and it displays the plug, 3 pronged image on the battery.

I am have tried a restore, and a full "new phone" restore but neither have helped.

Phone needs to be disassembled and thoroughly cleaned. Make sure to clean out the charge port and the battery terminal really well. After that check again to see if it will take a charge to 100%. If not it could be something else so please respond after you give it a try and we can discuss other possible fixes. good luck

Thanks, i will have to use white spirit instead of isopropyl, as it cnanot be bought from a store here. I have noticed that the charge port has 2 or 3 green cells so i take it this is the issue with a bit of corrosion, hopefully the white spirit will fix it. Ill keep you updated
