Can a SIM card go bad and cause iPhone 4s to overheat?

Basically i originally posted about having an issue connecting to 4G with AT&T network and making calls to other people. A lot of times it would be call failed and could not activate cellular data. As well it would show 4 or 5 bars and still no calls going through and sometimes just showed no service. I don't believe it would be the SIM card reader because it would not read it at all if that was the issue correct? I did make a couple calls through but very rarely. I thought i had messed something up when replacing my screen but I even got a new cellular antenna and it stopped working after the third call i made!

I noticed there are black streaks on the bottom of my SIM card could it be damaged and cause this issue and the overheating which leads to fast battery drain?

P.S: I left took out the SIM card today and left it out and the phone lasted all day without dying ever since that started the battery never really lasted that long and the phone would overheat badly. The phone did not overheat at all today.... Could it be that someone cut the SIM card down to size and it was not cut right possibly because it looked like it was cut down to size?

I appreciate all the help yall are awesome!

Thank you in advance!
