Ps3 won't work on hdmi cable. No signal

My ps3 won't work!

It has a hdmi cable but no signal!!

I tried different ports and different cables

But no luck. I also tried holding it down to reset the video settings but still no luck!!

PLEASE HELP I JUST BOUGHT IT LAST WEEK

you say diffirent cables, you mean hdmi or also scart?

I have no on or off switch on the back of the ps3

try using the compant cablde for the ps3 #the ps2 video cable

and then go to settings - video setting than click the first one than go to the top of the line you should see hdmi and than click x than x again than switch to hdmi

Hi I have a PS3 and the HDMI port and AV port both of them do not work they glitch out when I try to plug any of them in and they have like lines and red and green square glitchy things in it what does that mean

1 make sure tv or monitor is on and change source to proper input IE Hdmi 1 or 2 etc.

2 Ensure your ps3 is off but ready to be turned on. Fat ps3 has switch in back that need to be in on position.

3 hold power button for 5 to 6 seconds and let go after 2nd beep, it should come on with a beep and wait for 2nd beep.

4 this should reset your video, if display flickers then it should come up.

5 if it doesn't, try turning the power off then on again. Repeat steps 2 to 4 if it doesn't work.

If you keep trying and it doesn't work, then your unit might have to be repaired.

PS3 80gb super slim it has a black screen and no singal what is wrong with it

Same here ! We'll my 150gb is working find but my 500gb slim that has been in my closet for a couple is doing just this ! I tried multiple cables and tested it with 3 different screens. All no signal
