Is it my screen or the LVDS cable?

I can use an external screen (I can output to my TV for example) so it's clear that the laptop works. There might be corrosion on the LVDS cable but it might also be the screen.

  1. Is there a way to determine what is at fault?
  1. If it is the LVDS cable, the version on the fixit.com website (MacBook Pro 15" Unibody LVDS Display Cable) has 2 wide connectors but the cable on my laptop has one wide and one small. What's up?

Thanks,

David

Are you sure your not confusing the iSight camera cable for the second cable?

Can you backup here and explain what your problem is (symptoms) and what you have done so far to isolate the cause. You talk about corrosion did you get your system wet? You may have one or more problems here.
