dwayne campbell, to hlp you fix your iPod, you would have to tell us what is wrong with it. The original iPod Video 30GB most likely has a Toshiba MK3008GAL hard drive. That drive is a Zif Drive and is 5mm in height. So if you want to replace it with an 80GB drive, lets say Toshiba MK8010GAH then you will have to change the battery, and the back case, as well as the audio jack, and thicker bumpers, to fit the thicker drive since it is an 8mm thick drive. If you try to just fit it, without replacing the back, you will destroy the LCD because of to much pressure. Also, try and stay with the same manufacturer, I have had trouble with the hard drive cable when I changed from Toshiba to Hitachi. If you do change it, replace that cable as well. It does sound like a lot, but parts are inexpensive and are relative easy to replace. Of course, if you find a hard drive that is the same thickness, then it is a straight forward swap. You will not need any other parts.Check on here for the guides to assist you with this. Hope this helps, good luck.
