Mute switch, volume up and down button wont work.

I have a iPhone 4 which worked perfectly for the past 1 year however recently the phone went cuckoo. The Mute switch, volume up and down button wont work. Additional to it, there is no ringtone when receiving calls, sms or email. On the other hand, when I play music or even youtube it works but when playing games it went completely silent again. I have tried restoring the phone, hard reset (press on home button + power button) but the issue remains.

Any idea what can be the issue ?? Thanks in advance

hi simon,

sounds like there is something wrong with you volume buttons flex cable or the connectors. you headphone jack is also on the cable so that could be causing the audio troubles.

check the connectors first

try to replace the Headphone Jack & Volume Control Cable.
