Plug works, battery won't charge

Old battery was shutting off randomly, so I replaced it. Things were fine for a week, then when I plugged in to charge I would get a picture of a plug in the battery icon, and it would intermittently show the lightning bolt and eventually charge the battery. Now it will just not charge. The phone works plugged in. My wife's 3gs works with the same cord/charger combos.

Bad replacement battery, or a phone issue?

footstepfollower, make sure that you dock connector is nice and clean and that you do not have any bend, broken or corroded pins. You can clean it with some high grade isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab and/ or a few puffs of compressed air. If that should check out okay, I would suggest to take a look at the battery. Make sure it is still connected right and if it is, replace it once more. Hope this helps, good luck.
