Adding second drive to Mac. Need to transfer OS to new drive.

I currently have the standard mac hard drive. But I'm thinking of adding a second 120 GB SSD (dual hard drive) by taking out the optical drive and using the "9.5 mm SATA Optical Bay SATA Hard Drive Enclosure".

This would mean all my data would still be on my HDD. How can I move the OS to my 120 GB SSD? So I'd be able to put all my OS and all the other stuff I use a lot on my SSd and the rest on my hard drive?

Thanks.

iFixIt offers a package with an external case to hold the SSD to image your files to before swapping out your HD. You can use it to just move your OS over as well. SSD upgrade kit

You can use your own external case to do the same thing.

Use Carbon Copy to copy your present Mac HD to the SSD. to do this you need to install the SSD into a USB housing ( $9) at compusa
