Why no guides for this?

I just purchased one of the last MacBook Pro 17", Unibody Late 2011 models with a 2.4Ghz i7 quad core. I was hoping to be able to get your help with replacing the hard drive, and the optical drive. Why no guides for this?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

That is a bit odd that the guides haven't been completed for the newer models but I can tell you that the process will be almost identical to the MacBook Pro 17" Unibody Guide. The only differences I can think of is that the battery may be different (may have to remove in order to disconnect, requiring either a tri-wing or pentalobe driver) and the Airport card may be mounted just above the optical drive. Both of these are pretty straightforward when looking at them though.

The Airport card / carrier removal should be very similar to the process for the 15" MacBook Pro Early 2011

Hope that helps!
