My Mac won't read my cd's and makes a weird noise?

I got my macbook pro in June 2012 and it was fine until recently I noticed it was not reading any CD's i would put into the CD drive. It started with me trying to watch a movie. I put the movie in and it made a weird noise and said "disc is not readable" and gave me the option to ignore or eject it. I tried multiple DVD's too. Then today I tried playing a game I always play and after I put it in the computer it said the same thing and made the same noise. It never used to do that with that CD.

It sounds like your optical drive has failed. You may still be covered under the first year of apples limited warranty, if you are, just take it in to the apple store or any apple authorized service department and they will be able to diagnose and replace it for you. Hope this helps!
