I repaired the glass display on my mac and after reassembly I am receiving a screen with a folder icon and a question mark in the middle of display, any ideas ?

That is an indicator that the Mac can't find a bootable operating system, which can be traced back to a heavily corrupted operating system or a hard drive that is not recognized. Did you disassemble the machine and remove the display to replace the glass or did you replace the glass with the display installed on the MacBook Pro? If it was working beforehand, and it was disassembled, the first thing I would try is removing and reconnecting the hard drive and disconnecting/reconnecting the hard drive cable to the logic board.
