burned logic board near inverter connector
Hi all,
I have az Ibook G4 14" 1064Mhz logic board, which can't boot, screen is black. There are some sootied/burned smd near the inverter connection. The previous owner said, that a huge voltage came from the LCD, then iBook stop working. When they dissasemled it they found the burned spots.
If I switch it on, I hear the fan running constantly, if I light trough on LCD from back at Apple logo, I can see only that the light is a little bit darker when the iBook is on than it is off.
If I change the logic board, the LCD works perfectly.
The previous owner claimed that he didn't pour any liquid into the iBook.
My question is, if I changed the four or five sootied smd (maybe the inverter fuse is also between them) could solve my problem?
Is this a good question?
