Mac G5 turns on but screen stays blue?

The computer is in great condition, it turns on but wont go any farther than a blue screen. Thinking the screen went out...have owned it for 7 year. before it started acting up there would be different colored lines pop-up on the screen, until one day there was no picture just a plain blue screen. Is it fix able and or can it use non mac parts or is there parts for it period becasue i was told it was a vintage model by a mac store.

The issue that you are describing is common among this model iMac. These iMacs have known issues with the capacitors on the logic bulging and/or exploding. Once the capacitors start having problems the iMac will show video related problems as well as problems starting up. Based on your description of the issues and the issues leading up to the current issue, I can tell you that your logic board has definitely failed and would need replacement. There are online guides that instruct you on how to replace the capacitors, if you dare! It is not easy but is doable. I, however, do not recommend spending the time or money on this iMac as you can likely buy another used one for around $100-$200. Also, they are considered obsolete by apple as they are no longer supported and cannot run the last 3 operating systems that have been released. I am sorry to break that news to you. I hope this helps!
