Sd card reader fails to write.

When attempting to write the SD card I always get a error that the card is write protected. I have tried different cards with the same result. These same cards can be written to in other card readers. I have looked inside the card reader and do not see any bent contact.

The cards easily slide in and out of the reader.

How can I replace the card reader.

Juan Batista, here is what HP suggest. First check if the card reader recognized by the operating system in the Device Manager. (look in Storage Controllers). If there is no driver installed you should see a yellow exclamation point next to it. If it is not seen it is probable that there is a hardware issue instead of software. Right click any device and select scan for hardware changes to prompt the OS to look for the device." Also, you do want to make sure that you have the right driver, get it from here. Rhe only other thing I would do is to replace it. I believe this would be the right part but also check this one when you have your laptop apart. To get there, use these guides. Hope this helps, good luck.
