when I take a picture with my Olympus sp-500uz camera and open it in Photoshop (cs2) its only 72 dpi how do I set it to be 300 dpi? I have tried to change the picture size but this doesn't seem to make a difference.

The resolution of your camera is set by image size. Your camera is capable of 2816 × 2112 in RAW format. It is your software that determines the DPI. Check your Photoshop settings. I believe that the 72DPI is default for web images. I do not have Photoshop in front of me but I believe to resize a particular image you click IMAGE->IMAGE SIZE, uncheck "Resample Image" and change the resolution to whatever your printer can handle. Check on here for more information about the Photoshop settings. Hope this helps, good luck.
