I tried to install an iPhone 4 LCD on my 4s, it powers up, but all I see on the screen is a vertical blue stripe about a centimeter thick down the middle of my screen. What is going on?

Sounds like a bad LCD. Have you tried to install either the old 4S or the iPhone 4 into a 4?
