battery problem after installing Snow leopard

My battery life lasted about 5hrs before I installed Snow Leopard. However after installing Snow Leopard my battery life only last about 2-3 hours. I have to reset the PRAM and NVRAM for it to last 5 hours. However after a few days the battery life will revert back to 2-3 hours. I went to the Mac store and they can't find anything wrong with it. Help!

Battery cycles

tell the health of a battery. A two year old battery could be reaching its end of life. Anything over 300 cycles is nearing it's EOL even though it may still hold a charge, the discharge rates faster'' (as you noticed).

Go to Applications->Utilities->System Profiler: power this will show charging and cycle data.

If it's near or over 300 cycles replace the battery.

If it's not, run software update, there is a firmware update that you may have missed.

If this answer is acceptable please return and mark it.

Good Luck,

N.

Hi. I'have similar problem with white MacBook 2008 C2D 2.4, 4GB ram. Battery is 270 cycles. It is strange that it happens after clean system reinstall. Day before was fine, still power conected. I'm going to check pram memory. Similar problem was with Tytanium and Alu 1.33 years ago. When Pram is dead computer "looses its mind" After pram change 10years old Tytanium still works fine, battery charges and gives over 2hrs of working time.
