When iPhones battery drains to nothing, I cannot charge it

After disassembling my iPhone, i noticed that if the battery drains all the way out and it shuts off because of it, and then i try and charge it, i just get the low battery red icon. It will stay like this forever no matter how long i charge it.

I figured out how to fix this problem temporarily until my battery dies again. I take apart the phone and if i disconnect the battery connector from the logic board and then reconnect and reassembly it will work. Does anyone know what is causing this problem?

How could i fix this?

Very interesting and similar to the problem I'm currently having, which was caused by water damage (toilet water, of all things!)... I'm opening myself up to the idea of "connector 4" being the problem for both of us- yours is probably as simple as reconnecting that connector, while my fix will probably involve making sure the connection is made AND replacing the battery... Please help us out, experts!

Im having the same problem right now. My phone was given to me. They mentioned charging issues and they were right. My phone shuts off anywhere from 10 to 2 percent. I can never charge my phone while its powered on. I have to wait for my phone to shut off and then connect it to the charger. Once plugged in, it charges fast to 100 percent. I have replaced the battery with a new one and bought a new iphone charger, yet i am still having these problems. Im planning on making a trip to an apple store and see if they have answers.
