Printer doesn't pick up paper

Some years ago, my printer didn't grab the paper anymore. It moved half an inch and stopped. I asked the seller, who told me off, saying I had bought the wrong paper (i.e. not in his shop) and that my printer was ruined.

After looking around, I found a solution which is still working.

Open the rear door. On the left side, past the rubber rollers, there is a grey striated roller which rests on the paper stack.

It is quite out of reach, but with a cotton swab wet with isopropyl alcohol, you can clean it. Make it roll, to clean all of it.

And that's all. Approximately every year, I have to do it again. It is easy and cheaper than a new printer.
