Power On/Off Stby switch

I am attempting to transfer the Power/Stby switch in the upper left hand corner of the metal back case and also the antenna assembly to a brand new metal case.

My question is "What kind of glue do I use to hold down the ribbon cable of the Power/Stby switch?"

This may sound like a simple answer like use 3M double sided tape. But the problem is that as far as I have been able to ascertain the copper on the bottom side of the ribbon cable has to make electrical contact with the metal case. If this contact gets insulated from the metal case than you will not be able to use the Power/stby switch after reassembly.

Is there any experts out there who can help myself as well as anyone else performing this process no one glue to use?

I can see whatever glue was used previously completely covers the electrical contact section of the ribbon cable as well as the ribbon cable itself.

Thanks in advance.

I would think the Hot glue would electrically insulate the switch from the metal cover. Maybe my switch is broken and when in working condition it would get electrical connection thru the metal cast portion of the switch that is screwed to the case.

But if this is the case then why did apple incorporate the copper land on the back side of the ribbon cable of the switch?

It seems that a small dab of hot glue does the job, I used it in the past to hold down the headphone jack/lock switch cable in my 5th generation iPod video.
