Are you saying that the computer comes on but only display's a black screen? If so, have you tried an external monitor?

Prakash, right behind the DC Jack you should find a fuse labeled F2 or FU, just slightly to the left of the power socket. It is a SMD component, use a multimeter to check for continuity. The fuse is a Littlefuse 429 Series and the datasheet is available right here and the fuse is available from places like mouser.com part number 5760429007. WR ML. Hope this helps, good luck.

try an external monitor, but your motherboard should be damaged by the energy higher than 19v, but there's still hope, try an external monitor and/or another power supply with 19V CC output.

Carlos, the Thinkpad uses a 16V power supply not a 19V. The higher voltage can lead to further damage. The logic board will have a fuse for case like this.

Hi,

The issue can be of power supply or LCD circuit damage. Try using an external VGA monitor and see if it gives you any display if it wont then you have to visit your local technician for laptop repair.

Good Luck.
