How can I tell if my 16gb iPhone was assembled in China?

I have an iPhone that does not have the standard 30 Pin Connector. Semms to be about an 18 pin connector. Is this not an original Iphone?

I was under the impression all iPhones are assembled in China.

Did you get this iPhone from a reputable source or through a dubious channel - any recourse on the vendor?

all Apple iPhones have the standard 30 pin dock connector, so if your's has a different physical connector it must be a knock-off copy of some sort. the authentic 30pin connector is only supposed to be used under license from Apple, so that might be why a knockoff phone would use a different kind

There seem to be various cheap "iPhone" clones that have similar looking case as an iPhone but entirely different beast inside.

Are you sure a standard dock connector doesn't fit your phone?
