No Vibrate, Sound or Headphone Detection

I have a 4S that has recently had a screen replaced, upon powering up everything is working fine (Wireless Radio / Mobile Radio / Screen / Buttons). Just that when any sound should play there is a light pop from the speaker then nothing else, when plugging in headphones to test this I realised that they weren't being detected and also when trying to test the vibrate using the mute switch I find that is also not working.

Does anyone have any ideas on cause / fix?

Thanks.

Open her up and see if its not something simple to fix. At worst case, you will be buying the replacement parts and using the sites guide to do a repair.

I have reseated all connectors to no avail, also I don't understand what part would not be working as the speaker enclosure is totally separate from the headphone jack and vibrate module.

Turns out, it was the audio chip on the logic board that had blown...

Sounds like whoever did the replacement screen didn't properly seat the headphone jack/volume/vibrate switch ribbon. Your most likely gonna need to just reconnect the ribbon, or simply take it back to whoever did the repair.

I'll check that but wouldn't that mean the volume buttons and power button wouldn't work?

by

This is incorrect, The ribbon is fine, The mute switch is not working cause there is nothing to mute or unmute. The speakers are damaged.

It isn't the speaker enclosure I have already replaced that, the mute switch is working as in it displays mute / unmute icons in iOS when using it. also the volume buttons work which is on the same flex.
