pismo will not power down

I turned my Pismo G3 400mhz on and had to walk away for a few minutes when I came back the screen was black and the battery light under the screen was flashing. I pressed the power button to wake it up but nothing happened. i am trying holdind the power button for it to restart but nothing is happening, Solutions anyone?

Options

Unplug the power and remove the battery. Do a NVRAM and zap the PRAM before rebooting.
