Upper Case change from 2009 to 2011

Is ist possible to change an uppercase from MacBook Pro 13" mid 2009 with an Upper Case from an MacBook Pro early 2011?

Mid 2009 has German Keyboard, the 2011 has US Key...

Need the German One in my 2011 ;-)

Rene - Check out this YouTube Vid on swapping out the key caps Key Cap removal. I think you'll find this a lot better than the almost complete disassembly of your system to replace the key board unit.

Thx for your answer, but it´s not the same key size in some keys... i would have done if so ;-)

Sorry Rene ;-{ None of the iFixIt guides or breakdowns for either model show enough detail to tell you and I've not needed to go that far on these models.

The older MBP model design used the lower case as the start point to build the system. In the case of the unibody models the uppercase is used, so one of the first parts in is the keyboard, unlike the older which had the top case assy with the keyboard on last making it a breeze in swapping.

How about helping the next guy? Can you document the steps you need to go through to get to the point of swapping the key board assys for each upper case assy so both guides can be improved upon.

And, do tell us if you where able to swap the keyboards. Good Luck!
