Few keys not working after small spill - will replacing keyboard fix?

Hello,

A very small amount of coffee was spilled on my Macbook (Unibody) keyboard. Power was switched off and battery removed shortly thereafter. A day later was powered back up and seemed to work fine but now the I K and L keys are not working. I'm wondering if putting a new keyboard on the computer (I assume by replacing the upper-body) would rectify the situation. I don't know if this sounds like a keyboard problem or a logic board problem with respect to the keys not working. I'm hoping that its a keyboard issue as I would expect that if the logic board was toast that the machine would not work at all. Does replacement of the keyboard/upper-body sound like a likely remedy?

Any insights appreciated.

Many thanks,

Ed

Hi, Replacing the keyboard would probably work but before going to that expense try these cleaning methods. If they don't work you can still replace the keyboard.
