Laptop turns on but power button don't have a light, WIFI problem?

I've a Compaq presario widescreen c716 tu Laptop:

Ram 1 Gb

Dual Core,

Windows 7

I was having a power on problem, initially when iturned it on all the lights will turn on, Fan spins but there was no display, not even on VGA.

Somehow i managed to fix it by reconnecting bios cell and cleaning heat sync.

But now have a problem with power button.

Sometimes Laptop won't start on pressing power button, but on re plugging the strip(plastic strip with wires in it connected to motherboard and power button) properly it starts.

even if it starts properly(boots and windows starts) the power button don't have a light and wifi button remains blue(even when it is not working, it should be red).

So is it the problem with the connecting strip or something else?

Umesh Singla, sounds to me like it is time to replace the power button. you can get the whole assembly. The part number is 454940-001

HP Switch cover - Includes power button board and cable, wireless button board and cable, and numeric lock LED board and cable. Least expensive one I found was on here. Of course you may find one cheaper, depending on your geographic location. Hope this helps, good luck.
