My Accord ran 4 days ago but now won't start

My car ran 4 days ago and the engine sound good, quiet and smooth sound. No sound of problem. Then the same evening, it won't start, I thought may be high humidity so I wait for next day afternoon, then tried to start again, it didn't. The starter just cranking but engine won't run. Today, I sprayed started fluid to the Air intake and hope to help the engine to start, but the engine seemed to start and ran for half a second then stop. I repeated a few times, it was the same. I went to the autoshop and get more starter fluid and ask for help and idea from them. They said that it may be no fuel or the fuel filter had clogged up so bad. I was having the idea of my gas tank been tampered with, either have water or sugar?or other substance. The autoshop guy told me if someone put sugar in my gas tank, since sugar won't melt in gasoline, but it will clog up the fuel filter and preventing gas to deliver to the fuel injecter.

Do you have any suggestion on how to trouble shoot if my gas tank has been tampered with water or sugar?

Brian, I really would not worry to much about sugar in your tank. You would need a whole lot of sugar to cause the filter from clogging. Check under Urban legends:-) Sugar will not dissolve in gasoline, since sugar is too polar in comparison with gasoline. A mixture of gasoline and sugar can therefore be separated by filtration, or extraction with water.

That aside, I would still start with the fuel filter and check the fuel pump while you are at it. You did not tell us which Accord you have nor did your tell us what engine size it is. Your problem could simply be caused by the duel delivery system, check your duel pump relay and fuses, check the pressure on your fuel pump.
