Home Button is very DEAD.

OK, have done the reading around here.

Phone dropped and got wet. All is working, except the home button. Have had it in Tupperware with rice for over a week, no joy. Have done a factory restore, no help. Have ordered the pro tool kit and I am ready to take it apart. But, there is no home button available as a part here, nor is there a manual to get to it, other than the tear down which says "don't use as a repair manual."

Suggestions?
