Home button stopped working for no reason

My Home/Back button works most of the time, but on occasion, more and more frequently, it will not work. ive had the phone for almost two years i'd have to assume its getting worn out is there any way i can replace it or the connection to it, if i hit it on something hard it usually starts to work again. just trying to make it a few more months to get a new one

Answer this question I have this problem too

is a problem with the force that you use to press?

in this case, the solution is replacement.

if not, some users say that moving safari icon in the dock bar, and restarting, solve the problem.....

as a last resort, you can always turn on assistive touch from access menu....that create a virtual home button on the screen ...

I hope this helps, and sorry for my english :)

I would take a few drops of 91% or higher alcohol and put it around the home button and work in by pressing the button multiple times. This will fix it sometimes. This will help with any corrosion on the contacts. If the phone hasn't been opened I would assume corrosion versus a bad flex cable.

I've fixed this by spraying compressed air in the dock connector and around the home button. It must have had some debris in there not allowing contact of the button.
