Is it possible that a tiny baby spit up broke MBA?

Tiny baby spit up! Mac Book Air keyboard isn'nt working at all anymore , if I check on key board viewer it is infact the key my boy spit on, but the whole keyboard isn't working anymore, moreover the application want open either...

Is there any chance to fix it, i went to the Apple Shop, they could not estimate how much it cost.

I cleaned the particular key and the buttons around..

?

No idea what i shall do..

Ouch! Sorry to say your babies vomit is very acidic (as well as people & animals). If it just happened you may still have a chance to save the keyboard otherwise its' new keyboard time.

Do you feel you have the skills in opening up your Mac? If so you can follow the iFixIt guide for your system to pull the keyboard out and pull it apart to get to where the stuff is still sitting to wash it out and neutralize the stomach acid thats eating way at the metal parts.

Otherwise bring it in to an Apple repair shop and let them swap the keyboard.
