Color change pink after new inverter cable.

Today I made to put the inverter cable Macbook Santa Rose/Penryn. My backlight is working again in every position. Now if I open an page it is all pink in the background. And the desktop is a bit blur with this pink and green. It was not before I fixed it. I am sure that I put all the cables back. What could it be?

I am absolute a beginner and not technical att all. First time fixit for me.

Thank you.

Look at your display cable again. It's likely loose or damaged.

Inverters are also a common failure on these laptops with how hot they get and the confined space they're in. It's unlikely this is the cause because they're built with this in mind, though. It's more then likely the display. Pink backlight is often a sign of CCFL failure afoot. However it can still be the inverter, but people who want to try this are usually holding some hope that a part made to be abused will fix it. It usually doesn't.

Reconnect the display cable inside the display. It probably got bumped in the process. If that doesn't do it go to the motherboard. It's not likely, but could be loose here too.

here's the guide to fix that.

MacBook Core 2 Duo Display Replacement

If that doesn't do it, the display is probably destroyed. Cable usually isn't busted in these laptops. That's a false hope held by people who want this stuff fixed when it does nothing the vast majority of the time. Cables can be damaged, but it's so rare I'd consider that last.

But a display cable is different then the inverter cable.

How do I plug it to another monitor? I got a Imac too. I just do not understand how can something loose so suddenly.

by

you may have loosened it replacing the inverter, it happens

by

To hook it up t another monitor, you need a MiniDVI to VGA or DVI adapter from some place, and hook up the monitor

I took it apart again and backward and now it is running fine. So it was the loose cable. Thank you for the great help.
